Dr. Ryan Kloepfer completed his Doctor of Optometry degree, with Honours, from the University of Waterloo in 2006. Originally from the small town of Goderich, Ontario, he ventured to the west after graduation and started practicing in Edmonton. After almost three years in Edmonton, he moved south to Calgary in early 2009.
During his years in optometry school, Dr. Kloepfer spent the summers working in a vision research lab and completed projects in the areas of visual system development in children and sports vision. He wishes to put these past studies to use in the clinical setting and establish a sports vision subsection to his practice. Also as part of his training, he completed an ocular disease rotation at the Houston Eye Associates, a large-scale ophthalmology clinic in Houston, Texas, and this experience fuelled his interest in the areas of eye disease diagnosis, management, and co-management. Dr. Kloepfer welcomes all patients and looks forward to helping you develop a tailored approach to meet your vision care needs for your occupation and hobbies.
In his spare time, Dr. Kloepfer enjoys playing hockey and volleyball, and likes to step foot on the ski hills as much as possible.
