Calgary Northeast Optometrist, Dr. Gaggan Basra
 | Dr. Gaggan Basra Dr. Gaggan Basra graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry located in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2006. During her schooling she also trained at the Fresno Veterans Affairs Hospital in California focusing primarily on ocular disease and therapeutics. Following graduation she returned back home to Vancouver and gained valuable experience working at a number of different practices until the spring of 2007. Prior to Optometry school Dr. Basra graduated from the University of British Columbia with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. She is also fluent in Punjabi and Hindi. Dr. Basra recently moved to Calgary and has been with Sunridge Vision Centre since winter 2007. Dr. Basra believes in the importance of listening to patient concerns to best address their needs. She has an interest in family eye care, including pediatric eye examinations, contact lens fittings and eye surgery co-management. She has been on many vision screenings examining young children as well as visiting senior homes. Dr. Basra enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with friends and family. She looks forward to exploring Calgary and enjoying the sunshine instead of the rain she is accustomed to in Vancouver.
Dr. Basra is working primarily at Sunridge Vision Centre and every other Thursday at Three Hills Optometry. |
