 | Dr. Martin Lee Dr. Lee is a 2007 graduate of the New England College of Optometry. Prior to that he obtained a PhD degree in 1997 from the University of Calgary in Respiratory Science. Subsequently, he spent the next seven years in the United States as a Medical Research Council Fellow in trying to understand the role of bacteria play in cystic fibrosis, a form of lung disease. Dr. Lee has done clinical rotations at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Providence Rhode Island specializing in ocular disease and the New England Eye Institute specializing in contact lens fitting. Dr. Lee is keen in co-managing eye diseases involving in diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration that are prevalent in the geriatric population. Furthermore, his research background in bacteria is helping him provide the best care for his contact lens patients. Dr. Lee looking forward to participate in eye care mission trips to third world countries and clinical eye research. Dr. Lee loves spending time with his wife and son by attending musical concerts together. In his spare time, he also enjoys playing hockey, snowboarding, squash, tennis, table tennis, badminton and salsa dancing. Dr. Lee is interested in learning languages such as French, German, Spanish and computer programming languages. He is fluent in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese).
Dr. Lee joined our group in February 2008, and works out of the Health Plus Family Vision Care, South Calgary Eyecare, and Three Hills Optometry Clinic locations.
